NEW! Preview the “SAVB Online Tool” Prototype at WPC!

Attend this Hands-on-Lab (HOL) at WPC and preview the new “SAVB” (Software Assurance Voucher Benefit) Online Tool, currently planned for launch mid-FY10!

SAVB Online is a tool that will enable you to enroll or renew in the SATV or Packaged Services voucher programs, submit your payment requests for redeemed SA voucher benefits, review your payment status and reports, manage your organization’s payment profile, and more – all online!

At this HOL at WPC, you will be able to interact with a “prototype” of this tool and provide us with your direct feedback on its features and functionality. Don’t miss this great opportunity to provide us with your valuable user insights!

Desktop Deployment Planning Services (DDPS) 5

Updated DDPS Content
DDPS content and engagement frameworks will be updated twice this calendar year. The approach is to standardize and simplify wherever possible as we prepare for Office 14 and Windows 7.

May 2009 - DDPS v3.5 - Deliverable Update:

Deliverable templates will be simplified for ease of completion by Partners.

An Office-centric deployment plan will be introduced.

App Compat deployment guidance will be launched.
Tools for refresh with new Videos, Guidance, Training and enhanced Hydration support through Windows Server 2008.
Exam 70-635 guidance to be fully integrated into guidance.

MDT 2010 RTM + 45 Days - Content Uplift:
Following the release of the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit 2010, DDPS v4 will release with a complete uplift on the Technology Framework across Office 14 / Windows 7 and MDT.

Exchange Deployment Planning Services (EDPS) 5
Announcing EDPS 2.0
After the successful launch of EDPS in November 2008, and due to the valuable partner feedback, Exchange Deployment Planning Services has just completed a refresh of the program.

With EDPS 2.0, partners will be able to better meet customer demand with new technical content, increased flexibility for custom engagements, an increased customer base to market to, and less time-consuming deliverables to help Partners deliver and complete more engagements in a shorter period of time.

This includes the availability and addition of the 1-day engagement to increase customer opportunities. Updated technical content that incorporates additional scenarios like Exchange 2003 and Notes migrations – giving partners the flexibility to customize EDPS based on their customer’s needs. Lastly, all of this will be updated on the refreshed EDPS Program Website.

Next In-Action Series Webcast Scheduled for May 21st. This month’s series will cover new ADS attach materials for SharePoint scalability and performance considerations.
